How to make a wedding card online

  1. Fill in the couple. Type the bride's and groom's names and one line about each family, for example "daughter of Mrs. Meena & Mr. Vijay Deshpande, Nashik". Switch on "Print the bride's name first" if the card goes out from the bride's side.
  2. Add the muhurat and ceremonies. Write the main muhurat line, then add each function (Haldi, Mehendi, Sangeet, Wedding, Reception) with its day, time and place. Use the arrows to reorder them and the cross to remove one.
  3. Add the venue and hosts. Put the full venue address, the names of the hosts under "With best compliments", and an RSVP or contact line.
  4. Choose a design. Open the Design tab and pick one of the 14 designs: marigold toran, jharokha arch, paisley border, rangoli corners, mandala and more, including dark maroon, emerald, navy and purple cards. Upload your kuldevta photo or family logo, or pick Ganesha, Om, Kalash, Khanda, Cross or another symbol.
  5. Download or share. Tap Download PDF for printing, JPG for sharing, or WhatsApp to send the card straight from your phone.

The card is laid out automatically. If you add many ceremonies or long family lines, the text shrinks slightly so everything stays on one page. Your draft is saved in your own browser, so you can close the page and come back later. The card and your photos are never uploaded.

What to include on an Indian wedding invitation

  • Invocation: "|| Shree Ganeshaya Namah ||" or a line for your family deity. Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Jain and Buddhist families can pick their own symbol and line.
  • Heading and opening line: "Shubh Vivah" or "Wedding Invitation", followed by "You are cordially invited".
  • Names with parents: full names of the bride and groom, their parents, and the home town. Grandparents' blessings can go in the message.
  • Muhurat, date and day: write the weekday as well, because guests read it first.
  • Each ceremony: name, day, time and venue. Haldi at home and the reception at a hall is a common mix, so list the place against every event.
  • Venue address: the hall name, road and area. A landmark helps out-of-town guests.
  • Hosts and RSVP: who is inviting, and one phone number for questions.
  • Closing line: for example "Your presence and blessings are the only gift we seek" if you prefer no gifts.

Traditional wording

"With the blessings of our elders, we request the pleasure of your company to celebrate the wedding of Priya, daughter of Mrs. Meena & Mr. Vijay Deshpande, with Rohan, son of Mrs. Sunita & Mr. Suresh Kulkarni, on Sunday, 13 December 2026 at 11:32 AM."

Wording from the bride's family

"Mrs. Meena & Mr. Vijay Deshpande request the honour of your presence at the marriage of their daughter Priya with Rohan, son of Mrs. Sunita & Mr. Suresh Kulkarni."

Modern wording

"Together with their families, Priya & Rohan invite you to celebrate their wedding. Join us for three days of haldi, music and a lot of food."

Reception-only card

"Please join us for the wedding reception of Rohan & Priya on Sunday, 13 December 2026, from 7:30 PM onwards at Shri Lakshmi Banquets, Pune."

Want the whole card in Hindi or Marathi? Open the Design tab, choose हिंदी or मराठी under Card language, and the tool fills in traditional sample wording in that language, which you can then edit. Tips for WhatsApp e-invites

  • Send the JPG on WhatsApp. It opens instantly in the chat. Keep the PDF for printing and for guests who ask for it.
  • On a phone, the WhatsApp button opens the share sheet with the card attached. On a computer, it saves the image and opens WhatsApp Web so you can attach it.
  • Put the Google Maps link to the venue in the message text, not on the card, so guests can tap it.
  • Send the invite 3–4 weeks before the wedding and a short reminder two or three days before.
  • Elders still value a personal call or a printed card. Treat the e-invite as an extra, not a replacement.

Before you print

Check every spelling, date and weekday against a calendar. Please confirm the muhurat with your family purohit. You can look up auspicious dates on our vivah muhurat 2026–2027 page, but only your purohit can confirm the exact time for your family. The PDF is A5, the usual card size; your printer can also print it on A4 with "Fit to page".

Can I make the card in Hindi or Marathi?+

Yes. In the Design tab, choose हिंदी or मराठी under Card language. The tool loads traditional sample wording in that language. You can type in English letters and have it converted to Devanagari.

What size is the PDF?+

The PDF is A5 (148 × 210 mm), the common size for Indian wedding cards. It has the same shape as A4, so it prints on A4 without cropping when you choose Fit to page.

Can I add our kuldevta photo or a couple photo?+

Yes. You can upload a deity photo or family logo for the top of the card and an optional couple photo. Both stay in your browser and are not uploaded anywhere.

Is my data saved?+

Your draft is saved only in this browser on this device, so you can come back and edit it. Clearing browser data removes it.
